The Lake Timberline Volunteer Fire Department is run solely by volunteers who offer their time and energy providing Fire Protection, EMS Services, and Rescue Services for our community, as well as mutual aid assistance to the surrounding communities.

Our Volunteer Fire Department is funded solely through the sale of fire tags, address signs, and culvert cleaning services, in addition to our various fundraising events. These funds are used for normal operating costs, maintenance of our facility and equipment, updating our gear, and providing continued training for our firefighters in order to remain in compliance with the NFPA Regulations.

We are also a mutual aid department to our surrounding fire departments as well as aiding St. Francois County EMS with medical calls. As these are services outside of our development, there is a basic cost to our Department to provide mutual aid but in turn we also benefit from the mutual aid we receive from these other departments.

Fire tag purchases are for fire protection only. The cost is $30 per lot owned and are due annually January 1st . Fire tags purchased or payments received after January 31st will be charged a late fee of $10 per lot. If you do not have a fire tag on all lots owned, you will be held responsible for fire services rendered in addition to damages to surrounding lots should a fire arise on your uncovered lot and it spreads to your neighbor’s lot.
